I love the Shabby Chic look but my husband finds it too feminine. I see a lot of whites on your blog. I am searching on the internet and once again, am finding a lot of whites and pastels. Is it wrong to incorporate dark colors? Will my shabby chic style no longer be shabby chic?? lol, I'm so confused. I came accross a small travel trailer at an antique market in McKinney, TX. It is not mine and I do not know the owner personally but you would not believe what she has done in such a tiny space. Her name is Brandy Evans and she does her magic as Pocket Full of Heirlooms. I don't have any pics as I did not have my damn camera with me but I follow her on Facebook and wish that I was as talented as her. Her Facebook page is also Pocket Full of Heirlooms and you would be missing out if you don't seek her out and look at all of the amazing things she is doing. Even if not for your blog or magazine or any other reason than the world deserves to know this amazingly talented woman. Thank you so much. I love your pages, blogs, pics, etc., etc.,etc...;)

Her term has become a generic term to describe a decorating style. Did a LOT of trade mark law research. They know it but surely aren't going to tell us. I know it now too though. Someone would have to file a court petition and over 1 million internet searches using that term as a decorating style could easily prove that. They are just trying to police something that has long ago gotten out of control.
